One round, two screens

What you do on the phone lands on the web the moment you save it, and what the desk does lands on your phone. Same chart, same live record.

  1. Dr. Leah Haskins · Hospitalist on 4 West

Dr. Leah Haskins: Open the list you're rounding

The phone opens on 4 West: rooms, day of stay, the last note, and who still needs to be seen today.

Joy Farrow, RN · Charge nurse at the desk

Joy Farrow, RN: The same census at the desk

It's the board Joy has open: the same patients, the same flags, the same last notes.

  2. Dr. Leah Haskins: Dictate the note

Tap Dictate and talk. Pause for an interruption, tap Done, and your words land in the note while you keep editing.

Joy Farrow, RN: The desk waits for Save

Nothing files until you tap Save, so the desk sees yesterday's note, never half of today's. The moment you save, the desk has it, and Unseen clears on every screen at once.

  3. Dr. Leah Haskins: Answer the one question

Orpheus reads the note as it files. When it leaves something open, Orpheus asks on the chart, where the whole care team sees it. Tap an answer and it clears for everyone.

Joy Farrow, RN: The desk answers back

Joy sets tomorrow's follow-up from the web. It's on the chart in your hand, BMP recheck and all, before you reach the next door.

Home

Your day, briefed

Home opens on what's yours: a short briefing from Orpheus, the practice's live numbers, your work inbox, and today's cases.

  • A briefing that keeps upOrpheus reads your inbox, assignments, messages, and productivity, then writes a few sentences on what needs you first. It refreshes itself through the day.
  • The same inbox as the webWork assigned to you, then work reaching you through your role. Touch and hold a row to claim it or approve a request, or open it for the whole task.
  • Today, countedToday's surgeries and follow-ups, and the practice's live numbers, from patients on file to unread messages.

Encounters

The whole list, in hand

The rounding list mirrors the board on the web: every patient's flags, room, day of stay, and last note, grouped by location and filtered in one tap.

  • Every flag above the nameUnseen, Orpheus's questions, follow-ups, surgeries, add-ons, and your practice's own tags ride a strip over each patient, in the same colors as the web.
  • Tabs for how you workAll, Rounding, Surgery, Calls, and Unseen. On the Surgery tab the list becomes the day's agenda, add-on requests first.
  • Search the way you thinkFind a patient by name, date of birth, chart number, or room, and switch locations from the bar.
  • Act without opening the chartTouch and hold a row to mark the patient seen or go to their tags. Open it for the follow-up, cases, notes, and the encounter's next step.

Dictation

Dictate at the bedside

Tap Dictate, talk, and tap Done. Your words land in the note while you keep typing, and nothing files until you tap Save.

  • Pause and pick back upPause for an interruption and resume the same take. Each take's words are added in order, and the note stays editable while the last one transcribes.
  • Nothing lost to a dead spotA recording that can't be sent waits on the phone with Try again and Discard, so what you said doesn't vanish with the signal.
  • Drafts that wait for youClose a note you haven't filed and the draft stays on the phone for later. Save waits until there's something to file and the dictation is done.

Messages and Team

Answer patients. Loop in the team.

Messages holds the patient conversations your role can see, and Team holds every colleague and channel. They're the same threads the web shows, live on both.

  • Reply on the right lineChoose which of a patient's conversations a reply goes to from the To line. Someone not on the patient app gets a text with a link to read it.
  • Urgent, said out loudWhen Orpheus flags a patient's message as urgent, the thread tells the patient the care team knows, and the care team gets a notice.
  • Channels, people, and mentionsEveryone, each team's channel, and every colleague. Type @ and a name to bring someone in, and pin the threads you live in.

Notifications

Notices that say just enough

A notice tells you something is waiting without naming a patient, a colleague, or the practice. Tap it, and it opens the exact thread or inbox it's about.

Work notices cover escalated patient conversations, team messages, and work assigned to you. Switch them off in Settings and new tasks reach you by text instead, if you've opted into texts.

With App lock on, opening Ultradoc asks for Face ID, and so does coming back after 30 seconds away.

Security

Locked to you

The phone follows the same rules as the web: two-step sign-in, your role's permissions, and an audit trail of what it opens. Then it adds a few of its own.

  • Face ID app lockTurn on App lock and Ultradoc asks for Face ID on open and after 30 seconds away, with your passcode as the fallback.
  • Nothing to see over a shoulderThe app switcher shows a cover instead of the chart, and screenshots and screen recordings come out blank.
  • Two-step and passkeysSign in with a passkey, or with a code from an authenticator app, a text, or an email, and keep backup codes. If your practice requires two-step, it stays on.
  • The same rules as the webYour role decides which tabs and charts you see, every chart the phone opens is written to the audit trail, and what it keeps for a fast start is encrypted to you.
How Ultradoc protects your practice

iPhone and Android

Native on both phones

On iPhone, Ultradoc is built from the system's own parts: Liquid Glass bars, native menus, and the system's symbols. On Android it follows Android's own design, so it feels at home on either.

  • Each phone's controlsThe channel filter is a pull-down menu on iPhone and a row of chips on Android. Same choices, each in the form its phone expects.
  • Each phone's gesturesOn iPhone, touch and hold a patient to peek at the chart with actions underneath. On Android, a long press opens the patient's tags.
  • Each phone's unlockFace ID or Touch ID on iPhone, fingerprint or face unlock on Android, and no screenshots of patient data on either.

The details that matter mid-shift

Small things, built for hallways, stairwells, and the ten minutes between patients.

Works through dead spots

Lose signal in a stairwell and the app says so, showing the latest saved information until you're back.

Opens where you left off

Home, your list, charts, and threads paint from an encrypted copy on the phone the moment you open them, then go live.

On the practice's clock

Dates and times follow your practice's time zone, even when your phone is somewhere else.

Follow-ups and cases from the chart

Set or clear a follow-up, schedule or edit a surgery, and manage tags without walking back to a desk.

Discharge summaries by Orpheus

The discharge summary Orpheus writes sits in the chart, and if it couldn't be written, you can ask for another try.

Pin and backdate notes

Pin the note that matters to the top of the chart, or file a new note to an earlier day.

Dynamic Type and VoiceOver

Text follows the phone's size setting across its full range, and every patient row reads aloud as one sentence.

Session limits, with warning

If your practice caps how long a session lasts, the app warns you first so you can save and sign in again.

Where it connects

The app reads and writes the same live record as the web, so every change it makes shows up everywhere at once.

Built for every kind of practice

The same app wherever the work happens: the ward, the OR hallway, the dialysis unit, or the couch at midnight.

Hospital medicine

Rounds without the workstation

Northside Hospitalists open 4 West on the phone, dictate each note at the bedside, and answer Orpheus between rooms while the charge nurse's board updates on its own.

Orthopedics

Between cases

At Summit Orthopedics the Surgery tab is the day's agenda, add-on requests included. A post-op note goes in from the hallway before the next patient is wheeled back.

Cardiology

A late-night conversation

A Lakeside Cardiology physician gets a notice that a patient conversation needs attention, unlocks with Face ID, and replies on the nurse line from the thread.

Nephrology

Dialysis day

Prairie Nephrology tags dialysis patients on the list, dictates renal updates between chairs, and sets each next follow-up before leaving the unit.

Urology

Stents in plain sight

With the Stent Tracker on, Riverside Urology sees each stent's age on its patient's row, so an overdue removal is hard to miss.

Pediatrics

The nurse line, anywhere

Cedar Pediatrics nurses answer parents from Messages and @-mention the pediatrician in Team when a visit is the answer.

Works with the rest of Ultradoc

Every part of Ultradoc reads from the same live record, so each one makes the others better.

Whatever your practice needs, Ultradoc does that.

Tell us how your practice runs. We'll set Ultradoc up around it and connect it to the EHR you already use.
